A New York Mets fan tumbled over a railing and onto the field while attempting to scoop up a foul ball off the bat of Wilmer Flores during the second inning of Friday night's game at Citi Field.
Although the Mets fan was able to save himself from falling completely flat on his face, he was unable to come up with the foul ball. The fan quickly scampered off the field and back to his seat, but it appeared that he was immediately confronted by stadium security. We would guess that he was either forced to move to a seat much further back from the field or ejected from the game entirely.
He's not the first fan to fall onto the field chasing a foul ball, and he probably won't be the last.
