Zach Johnson was interrupted by a large booming sound during his backswing on the green of the par-3 16th hole during Sunday's final round of the John Deere Classic.
The sound came from an air cannon on a passing boat, and Johnson jumped after hearing the unexpected noise.
Johnson took some time to regroup, but missed the birdie putt and had to settle for par. Johnson also had his birdie putt on 18 lip-out of the cup, finishing the tournament just one stroke out of the playoff.
To his credit, Johnson refused to place blame on the air cannon afterwards:

"...We're used to a lot of things. Maybe not quite that severity or that odd of a thing, but at the same time, regrouping and delays and all that kind of stuff, you've just gotta roll with it."Video via PGATour. H/T DBG.
