Atlanta Braves veteran catcher A.J. Pierzynski framed a pitch in the dirt in a humorous attempt to get the strike call during the eighth inning of Monday night's game against San Francisco.
The home plate umpire was not fooled, as everyone could see that the pitch bounced nearly five feet in front of home plate.
Pierzynski made up for his little joke later on with a 2-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game. The Braves went on to beat the Giants 9-8 in 12 innings.
