DeAndre Jordan threw the ceremonial first pitch for the Los Angeles Angels prior to Tuesday night's game in Anaheim, and it was a fairly decent one.
The Los Angeles Clippers center was a bit nervous, as he did not want to follow in the footsteps of new teammate Paul Pierce, who threw his first pitch into the dirt at a Dodgers game last month. Fortunately, Jordan has a younger brother who plays minor league baseball for the New York Yankees that he was able to ask for some advice.
In the end, Jordan's pitch stayed up high and reached the plate. Hector Santiago, who served as Jordan's catcher didn't have to move to catch the ball.
That's all we can ask from NBA players who throw out the first pitch at a major league baseball game. It doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to get there, preferably not on a bounce.
