Tampa Bay Rays catcher Curt Casali suffered a strained hamstring during Tuesday night's game against Minnesota in unusual fashion, as he hurt it while rounding the bases after he hit a home run.
It happened in the fifth inning as Casali hit the homer down the line and over the left field wall. Casali felt the pain before he reached first base, and as the video shows, there didn't seem to be unusual about his home run trot to cause the injury.
Casali left the game right after that. He was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday.
