L.A. Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard kicked the ball into the face of a fallen opponent during last Saturday's MLS match against Colorado.
It happened in the 88th minute as Rapids midfielder Juan Ramirez was pushed to the ground from behind by Galaxy midfielder Rafael Garcia. Ramirez lost possession of the ball with the foul, and Gerrard added insult to injury by blasting the ball into his face as he lay on the ground.
Garcia was given a yellow card for the bad foul, but Gerrard received no punishment at all. So did the referees just miss it, or is this behavior legal?
