The BYU Cougars spoiled the home opener of the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday, stealing a victory on a last-second Hail Mary.
With one second left on the clock and Nebraska winning 28-27, BYU backup QB Tanner Magnum took the ball on the 42-yard line, rolled out to his right and threw it up for grabs near the goal line. Senior wide receiver Mitch Matthews, who just returned from his mission in time for fall camp, made the miraculous leaping catch at the goal line, landing in the end zone for the touchdown.
And just like that, college football is back and better than ever.
