Oakland Athletics catcher Stephen Vogt had to leave Sunday's game in the eighth inning after taking a foul tip directly in the groin off the bat of Seattle Mariners batter Ketel Marte.
Vogt was taken to a local hospital for tests. No word yet as to the severity of the injury, but that looked awfully painful.
If A's players have learned anything this year, it's to make sure to always wear their cups.

Odds are 99 percent of America is having a better day than #StephenVogt... https://t.co/E6p3JNEQvp
