An injured soccer player suffered some additional pain and embarrassment while being carried off the field during a second division match in Greece when the medical staffers carrying the stretcher dropped him twice.
It happened during the second half of Saturday's match between Larisa and Ergotelis. It's unclear why the two men were in such a rush to get the injured player off the field, but it certainly made for a hilariously awkward sequence. After one of the staffers tripped and dropped the stretcher (and the player) onto the field, the same staffer fell on top of the player while trying to pick the stretcher back up. After getting the player to the sideline, the staffers just dropped him.
It's been a long time since we've seen a stretcher fail from the world of soccer, but it never gets old.
