The Kansas City Royals were excited after winning the deciding Game 5 of the ALDS Wednesday night, but outfielder Johnny Gomes may have gotten a little carried away with the postgame celebration.
Gomes picked up his daughter by her arms and began swinging her around in a circle near the pitcher's mound. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that teammate Jason Vargas' toddler was wandering towards them. As a result, Gomes swung his daughter right into Vargas' kid, knocking the child flat on their back.
It was clearly a freak accident, and we hope the toddler is OK.
