Toronto Raptors forward Terrence Ross was rightfully called for a double dribble when he couldn't get his steps right on a fast break dunk attempt during Sunday night's preseason game against the L.A. Clippers.
Ross intercepted a pass and set himself up perfectly for a fast break slam, but apparently got a bit too excited. That one extra dribble was all it took for the officials to make the call.
If Ross had just held onto the ball and dunked it, there's a fair chance he would not have been called for traveling. We've seen that hold true with some players on a fast break, and we know that others have gotten away with a lot worse.
H/T FTW.
