Houston Rockets guard Corey Brewer came through in the clutch by hitting a three-pointer on the run with 0.9 seconds left in regulation to send Wednesday night's game against Portland into overtime.
Down 99-96 with under six seconds left, Harden took the inbounds pass and dribbled to midcourt, then threw cross-court to Brewer. Brewer caught the pass on the fly and immediately put up the shot from 30 feet away, and it was nothing but net.
Brewer finished with 16 points in 27 minutes off the bench, and the Rockets pulled off the 108-103 comeback victory over the Trail Blazers.
It was the Rockets' first game since the rash firing of head coach Kevin McHale after a 4-7 start. J.B. Bickerstaff took over head coaching duties and gets credit for his first victory.
