Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin speared Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby in the groin, and got away with it, during the third period of Friday night's game at the CONSOL Energy Center.
Crosby received the cup check as he was positioning himself in front of the Blue Jackets net. Naturally, Crosby did not appreciate the low blow and pushed Tyutin down to the ice. Tyutin came back and pushed Crosby, with play being whistled dead as a minor scrum breaking out between the two teams.
In the end, however, no penalty was called on anyone. The Blue Jackets beat the Penguins 2-1.
