A Belgian amateur soccer player is facing a possible fine for public urination after taking an emergency bathroom break just outside the edge of the pitch during a match.
It happened last weekend in a Belgian Third Division match between Eendracht and Izegem. With Eendracht leading 2-1, Eendracht striker Philippe Janssens ran behind the Izegem goal to take care of business. As luck would have it, Eendracht was able to score another goal while Janssens was relieving himself.
Obviously it was an emergency situation, but couldn't he have gone back to the locker room, or found a port-a-potty somewhere? This could be costly for Janssens, who faces a possible fine between 60 and 350 euros.
