Wisconsin sophomore linebacker Jack Cichy recorded three sacks on one drive during Wednesday's Holiday Bowl against USC.
It happened in the third quarter with Wisconsin leading 20-14 as USC started an offensive drive with 1st and 10 on the 50-yard line. Cichy's first sack was for a loss of nine yards, and then after a USC illegal procedure penalty, Cichy recorded two consecutive sacks for a loss of seven yards each. It put USC at 4th and 38 on their own 22, and they obviously had no choice but to punt.
Cichy's performance was especially surprising since he only had two career sacks prior to the Holiday Bowl, so this will definitely raise expectations for next year.
