Los Angeles Lakers rookie forward Larry Nance Jr. accidentally scored on his own basket during the first quarter of Friday night's Christmas game against the cross-town rival Clippers.
It happened as the ball bounced high off the rim after Chris Paul missed a three-point attempt. For some reason, instead of grabbing the ball with two hands, Nance went up with only one hand and knocked it up in the air and right into the basket.
Nance was most likely trying to knock the ball to one of his teammates. He probably won't do that again.
So which Clippers player got credit for the basket, you ask? Well, that would be DeAndre Jordan, because he was closest to the rim. Jordan also gets credit for an offensive rebound on the play.
It's been that kind of season for the Lakers, who lost the game 94-84 to fall to 5-25 on the season.
