Edmonton Oilers center Matt Hendricks suffered some serious pain after blocking a shot with his groin during the second period of Thursday night's game in Dallas.
Hendricks took a slap shot in his sensitive area from Stars defenseman Alex Goligosky at close range and went down immediately. Hendricks was helped off the ice and into the tunnel where he collapsed.
It's painful just watching this play, so we can't imagine how much pain Hendricks was in. We hope that he will be OK, although it looks like he will take the rest of the night off.
UPDATE: In case you were wondering, Hendricks was wearing a cup, and it was a good thing, too:
