Phil Mickelson was forced to hit a shot from behind a boundary fence on the 18th hole of Friday's second round of the Farmers Insurance Open.
Mickelson's second shot on the par-5 18th was just inside the fence (by about a dimple, according to the official), and Phil had to go on the other side to figure out how he was going to play it. Mickelson did the best he could by using the toe end of his hybrid club to hit the ball, but ended up in a greenside bunker.
Mickelson ended up with a double bogey on the hole, which wrapped up a subpar 76 for the second round as he fell short of making the cut. However, we've seen from past tournaments that Mickelson is willing to try just about anything, and you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
