Manhattan Jaspers freshman guard Thomas Capuano got what he deserved when he used a shameless flop to draw a foul during Friday night's MAAC college basketball game against Iona.
It happened with 4:09 remaining in the game when Capuano threw himself backwards as if he was elbowed in the face by Iona guard A.J. English. In reality, there was minimal contact in the form of a handcheck before the flop, and a full second had gone by before Capuano pulled the cheap stunt.

Fortunately, the officials were willing to go to replay to review the play, and they not only negated the foul call on English but assessed a technical foul on Capuano.
Wow. Manhattan flop draws a bogus foul on AJ English, but refs assess a technical foul on Manhattan after review. Should happen more often.— Alan (@MasonFanatic) January 30, 2016
Great job by the officials in this case. This is exactly how they should treat flopping, not only at the college level but also in the NBA as well. This might finally put a stop to this type of ridiculous behavior.
H/T BC.
