Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse earned the knockout in a fight during the third period of Thursday night's game in Ottawa, and his father loved every minute of it.
It was only the second fight of Nurse's NHL career, but he proved that he could hold his own against Senators left winger Mike McCormick. Nurse knocked McCormick's helmet off and finished him with some huge uppercuts, bringing his father to his feet.
Nurse earned himself a five minute major for fighting, but likely also earned some respect from future opponents as a force to be reckoned with on the ice.
