St. Louis Blues right winger Jaden Schwartz scored a second period goal in Tuesday night's game against Dallas with a lucky bounce off a referee's skate.
Blues defenseman Colton Parayko dumped the puck into the corner of the Blues zone, with Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen moving behind the net to play it as it came around the boards. However, referee Kelly Sutherland skated into the puck's path and accidentally kicked the puck directly in front of the Stars net.
Schwartz scored an easy goal with the empty net, and Parayko earned an assist, giving the Blues a 1-0 lead. However, it never would have happened without Sutherland's help.
