Sacramento Kings stars DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo earned technical fouls for sarcastically clapping towards a referee in the final seconds of Wednesday night's win against Washington.
The Kings held a 120-107 win with under 7 seconds left in the game, when Rondo was called for a turnover on an inbounds play. Rondo and Cousins did not like the call, so they gave referee Marc Davis a sarcastic clap. Davis did not appreciate the sarcasm.
Rondo was given two technicals, resulting in an automatic ejection from the game. Cousins was only given one technical foul, his 16th of the season, which results in an automatic 1-game suspension.
There was no reason for Rondo and Cousins to act out, as they had the win wrapped up. Now the Kings will have to overcome the absence of Cousins for an upcoming game.
H/T FTW.
