A shameful soccer fan caused a delay in the kickoff of Tuesday's Bundesliga soccer match between Hanover and visiting Wolfsburg by lighting a flare and throwing it directly into Hanover's bench.
The starters for both squads were on the field ready for kickoff, but the incoming flare landed right behind the Hanover subs, sending them scrambling for cover.

Fortunately no one was hurt, but this reckless action by the fan was completely unnecessary. We hope that the culprit is captured and brought to justice.
