Portland Trail Blazers guard Gerald Henderson should be more focused on his own free throw shooting rather than ripping someone else for their free throws.
Case in point: Thursday night's game against the L.A. Clippers. In the final minute of the quarter, Henderson steps up to the free throw line and missed his first of two. As he prepares for the second, Henderson decides to taunt Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, known for his subpar free throw shooting, by saying "watch this", as if to say "this is how you do it".
First of all, why would you be trash talking someone else after you missed your first free throw? It would seem that he wasn't focused, as Henderson followed up his first miss with this clunker:
To perfectly top things off, the Trail Blazers lost to the Clippers 96-94. They lost by two points, which just happens to be the number of free throws that Henderson missed during this sequence while he was running his mouth.
So to Gerald Henderson, we say: Focus on your job and keep your mouth shut.
