Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor couldn't help but laugh after getting tripped up by his own bat while running to first base during the fourth inning of Tuesday night's game against Texas.
Lindor hit a grounder to second and was going to be out regardless, but his bat destroyed any chance that Lindor had of making it to first safely. It's fascinating to watch the replay as his bat hit his back heel at the end of his backswing, then followed him up the baseline for two steps, eventually getting caught between his legs and taking him down.
Lindor shouldn't feel bad, though, because it's not the first time we've seen an MLB player trip over his own bat, and probably won't be the last.
The Indians lost to the Rangers 7-3.
