Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Odubel Herrera horribly misjudged a fly ball that resulted in a triple during Thursday night's game against Miami.
It happened in the top of the eighth inning as Marlins batter Jeff Mathis hit a line drive to center field to open the inning. Herrera took a few steps in to catch the ball before realizing the ball was over his head...way, WAY over his head. Herrera made a last-second desperation leap but the ball was too high, and nothing could stop it from reaching the center field wall.

Mathis made it all the way to third base easily, and since Herrera never made contact with the ball, Mathis was credited with a triple, his first of the season. It opened the door to a 3-run rally by the Marlins, allowing them to extend their lead on the way to a comfortable 9-3 victory.
