The Olympic torch relay for this summer's Olympic games in Rio is underway, and sometimes the event brings out the crazy people. The scenario played out as the relay passed through the city of Joinesville on Wednesday when someone tried to put out the Olympic torch with a fire extinguisher.
The torchbearer was flanked on both sides by security, who immediately apprehended the man as he attacked. Fortunately, the torchbearer was OK and was able to pass the flame along.
We won't pretend to guess the person's motives, but we certainly wouldn't classify them as a "fan".
