A Philadelphia Phillies fan was ejected from Tuesday night's game against San Francisco by home plate umpire Bob Davidson, apparently for excessive heckling.
It happened in the top of the sixth inning as Davidson suddenly called time and began walking towards the Giants dugout. However, instead of motioning for one of the Giants players or coaches to leave the game, he called for security to remove a fan sitting about five or ten rows back behind the dugout.
It's not known exactly what was being said that got under Davidson's skin so much, but whatever it was, Davidson decided he had enough of it.
It's also unclear if the Phillies fan was forced to leave the stadium or if he was simply moved to a seat much further away from home plate, but the end result was that Davidson could finish up the game in peace.
