Minnesota Wild defensemen Christian Folin took down Toronto Maple Leafs rookie center Zach Hyman with a blatant slew foot during the third period of Thursday night's NHL game at the Xcel Energy Center.
It happened with just under five minutes left in the game as the players chased the puck into the corner of the Wild defensive zone. Folin swept his left leg and caught the back skate of Hyman, and both players fell backwards onto the ice.
The referee was in perfect position to make the penalty call and gave Folin two minutes for tripping. It was Folin's third penalty of the game.
The Wild beat the Maple Leafs 3-2.
