Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki had an embarrassing moment during the third period of Saturday night's game against New Jersey when he lost his skate blade during play and couldn't stay on his feet.
Borowiecki's blade popped out of his skate as he was chasing the puck in the corner of the Senators defensive zone. Since the Devils controlled the puck, the officials wouldn't blow the whistle to give Borowiecki a chance to get off the ice. He fell several times while trying to keep his balance on one skate, and the entire Senators bench couldn't help but laugh at his predicament.
Borowiecki seemed to be the only one who didn't think it was funny. Hopefully he was in a better mood after the game, as the Senators beat the Devils 3-1.
