Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo threw down his stick like a tomahawk and smashed it on the team bench, nearly hitting a teammate, after he was pulled in the third period of Tuesday night's game in Minnesota.
Luongo was pulled at the 8:26 mark of the third period after giving up a fifth goal on only 17 shots to the Wild. Luongo was clearly frustrated and wasn't afraid to show it. Luckily, no one was sitting in front of the spot where he threw down his stick, as it went flying down the tunnel.
Luongo has not had much luck in Minnesota recently. It was Luongo's seventh consecutive loss at the Xcel Energy Center, and he has been pulled in five of those seven games.
The Panthers scored a goal late to avoid being shut out, but obviously it wasn't enough as the Wild won the game 5-1.
