Tampa Bay Lightning right winger Nikita Kucherov was a bit unlucky during Thursday's shootout against Ottawa when his stick broke on his shot attempt.
Kucherov skated in towards the net and wound up to take his shot when the stick broke up near the hands, causing him to whiff on the puck.
Despite his misfortune in the shootout, it wasn't such a bad night for Kucherov. He earned the Number 3 star of the game with two assists, and the Lightning won the shootout to come away with the 4-3 victory.
