The nominees for the first 2018 edition of Shaqtin' A Fool are:
- Kentavius Caldwell-Pope: The Lakers shooting guard tried to get fancy by tossing the ball off the backboard, grabbing his own rebound and slamming it home. Unfortunately, his toss went over the backboard.
- DeMarcus Cousins: The Pelicans center gets away with a double dribble and scores in a full-court sequence against the Knicks.
- Ivan Raab: The Grizzlies center tries a behind-the-back pass to a teammate, but the ball goes off the back of his foot and out of bounds. Raab was just called up from the G League, and if he's not careful, he might end up back there.
- Mario Hezonja: The Magic small forward tries a between-the-legs pass to a teammate, but the ball deflects off his leg, right to an opposing player.
- Officials at Tuesday night's Spurs-Knicks game: The refs needed a conference to confirm Manu Ginobili's line-drive 3-point shot after the Knicks tried to pull a fast one and pretend the ball bounced off the rim.
