Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig was seen biting and licking his bat in his eighth inning at-bat during Wednesday night's game in Pittsburgh.
After fouling a 3-1 pitch behind home plate, Puig bit into the barrel of his wooden bat. After fouling off two more pitches, he gave his bat a little lick.
On the next pitch, Puig hit a foul popup to short right field which was caught by Pirates right fielder Gregory Polanco. Puig gave his bat a huge lick while jogging to first base.
It's unclear why Puig can't keep his mouth off his bat. Very strange.
Puig finished the game 0-for-4 as the Pirates beat the Dodgers 11-9.
