New York Yankees rookie catcher Kyle Higashioka got the silent treatment from his teammates when he returned to the dugout after slugging his first major league home run during Sunday night's win over Boston.
It came in the bottom of the fourth with no outs and the Yanks holding a 6-0 lead. Higashioka hit a solo shot into the second deck in left field.
Higashioka felt a bit awkward after returning to the Yankee dugout as no one came to greet him right away, but it was only a matter of seconds before the silent treatment was over and his teammates congratulated him.
The HR also happened to be Higashioka's first major league hit, having started his career 0-for-22.
The Yankees hit a total of 6 homers on the day as they crushed the Red Sox 11-1.
