In Premier League action, Wolverhampton defender Willy Boly scored a controversial goal on a handball that wasn't called during the second half of Saturday's match against Manchester City.
It happened in the 57th minute as the Wolves ran a set play on a corner kick. On a great cross from a teammate, Boly dove for the ball and appeared to score on a perfectly timed header. In slow-motion replay, however, it becomes clear that Boly missed the header, but inadvertently deflected the ball into the net with his arm.
There was no VAR option for the officials to review the play, so the goal was allowed to stand.
The goal gave the Wolves a 1-0 lead, but Manchester City was able to pull even in the 69th minute. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
