Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin crushed Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov with a monster open-ice hit during the third period of Friday night's NHL game at the Capital One Arena.
It was a clean hit by Ovechkin, shoulder on shoulder, that knocked Barkov down to the ice, so no penalty was called on the play.
Barkov got sweet revenge in the end, however, as he scored one of the shootout goals as the Panthers came away with a 6-5 victory.
