Boston Bruins center Sean Kuraly knocked Edmonton Oilers defenseman Matthew Benning into the boards so hard that a glass panel popped out during Thursday night's NHL game at the TD Garden.
It happened late in the second period as Kuraly had a full head of steam and checked Benning into the boards from behind. The collision could be heard throughout the arena.
The glass didn't break, but rather gave way completely as the panel fell into the lap of some Bruins fans in the front row. The fans began trying to put the glass back before the arena crew took over and finished the job. Naturally, the game was delayed for a few minutes.
The Bruins beat the Oilers 4-1.
