New Jersey Devils defenseman Sami Vatanen accidentally shot the puck into his own net during the second period of Sunday night's NHL game in Tampa Bay.
It happened midway through the second period with the hometown Lightning already out to a 4-1 lead. Vatanen was trying to clear the puck, but failed spectacularly as he knocked it past Devils goaltender Cory Schneider and into the net.
Lightning center Brayden Point was given credit for an unassisted goal. The Lightning beat the Devils 5-2.
