NJ Devils score THREE own goals vs. Anaheim Ducks (Video)

NJ Devils Ben Lovejoy own goal vs Anaheim Ducks

The New Jersey Devils suffered some incredible misfortune during Sunday night's game as they managed to score not one, not two, but THREE own goals against Anaheim.

The first own goal was credited to Ducks right winger Kiefer Sherwood after the puck took some crazy bounces off the stick and the leg of Devils right winter Stefan Noesen. The goal gave the Ducks a 2-1 lead.

Then, in the third period with the Devils holding a 4-3 lead, Ducks left winger Pontus Aberg scored on a backhanded shot from near the blue line which deflected off the hand of Devils defenseman Ben Lovejoy and past goaltender Cory Schneider.

Later in the third, Ducks right winger Ondrej Kase was credited with a goal to give the Ducks a 5-4 lead after Devils defenseman Andy Greene knocked the puck out of the air and into the Devils net.

You certainly don't see that every day. How unlucky can you get in one game?

The Devils managed to score in the final minute of regulation to tie the game at 5-5 and force overtime. Unfortunately, they lost to the Ducks in a shootout.
