Syracuse Orange guard Frank Howard appeared to engage in some unsportsmanlike conduct during Thursday night's ACC men's basketball tournament quarterfinal matchup as he attempted to trip Duke Blue Devils superstar Zion Williamson.
It happened in the first half after Williamson threw down a slam dunk to give Duke a 14-9 lead with 12:15 remaining in the first half. Williamson began to head back to the other end of the floor to play defense when Howard stuck his foot out in front of him.
Williamson did get caught a little bit, but managed to keep his balance and stay upright. Unfortunately, none of the officials saw it happen, so Howard got away with it. Not a cool move by Howard, especially with Williamson was just coming back after missing several games with an ankle injury.
In the end, Williamson was the star of the game, scoring 29 points while shooting a perfect 13-for-13 from the field as Duke beat Syracuse 84-72.
