New Jersey Devils goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood got a surprise when he went to the bench for a drink during a timeout in Tuesday night's game against Calgary.
Blackwood was drinking from his water bottle when the cap suddenly popped off, causing the sports drink inside to explode all over his face.
It clearly wasn't funny to him, but it was pretty hilarious to us watching.
The water bottle mishap perfectly summed up Blackwood's night, as he gave up six goals in the third period in the 9-4 loss to the Flames.
