New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone verbally ripped apart rookie umpire Brennan Miller after he was ejected from Thursday's opening game of a doubleheader against Tampa Bay.
The story began in the bottom of the second inning as Brett Gardner was struck out on a called third strike with a pitch that appeared to be inside. Gardner shook his head to express his disagreement with the call, and Boone began to yell to Miller to "get better" and "bear down" after what he considered a "really bad start".
After the next Yankees batter, DJ LeMahieu, watched a pitch outside called a strike by Miller, LeMahieu expressed his frustration. Boone continued yelling at Miller to "bear down", with Miller responding "I heard you Aaron!"
LeMahieu fouled off the next pitch, and after reaching his breaking point, Miller tossed Boone. Boone came out to home plate and gave Miller a final dose of heat before heading to the locker room.
Not surprisingly, Boone's tirade had a lot of foul language. For those of you interested, here is some video with turned-up microphones to capture Boone's message:

"My guys are f---ing savages in that f---ing box, right? And you're having a piece of s--- start to this game. I feel bad for you, but f---ing get better...Tighten it up right now, OK? Tighten this s--- up."
Boone's ejection gave the Yankees some inspiration as they went on to beat the Rays 6-2.
