Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen shaved his mustache between at-bats during Friday night's game in Detroit.
With the mustache, Jansen was 0-for-3, grounding into a fielder's choice in the second, striking out in the fourth, and grounding out to the pitcher in the fifth. However, when Jansen came up again in the sixth inning during a Blue Jays rally, he was clean-shaven.
As luck would have it, without the mustache, Jansen singled to left field, knocking in two runs. Just goes to show that baseball players will try anything to break out of a slump.
The good luck didn't last long, as Jansen struck out in the 8th inning, but we like the new look. Jansen finished the game with 3 RBI as the Blue Jays pounded the Tigers 12-1.
