A Texas Rangers fan attempted to catch a foul ball while holding his wallet during Thursday night's game against Houston, and hilarity ensued.
It happened in the top of the sixth as Astros batter Yuli Gurriel hit a 2-2 pitch foul into the seats on the first base side. A Rangers fan about seven rows back put his bare hands up in the air to catch the baseball with his wallet in his right hand. Not only did the fan not make the catch, but the ball knocked the wallet out of his hand, and the cash inside the wallet went flying everywhere.
Fortunately, it looks like the fan got most, if not all, of his money back, with some help from the nearby Rangers fans. As long as he got his money back, he can put this minor embarrassment behind him.
