A young Colorado Rockies fan threw a foul ball away during Monday's game against Atlanta.
Rockies batter Trevor Story hit a foul popup into the front row of the club seats on the right field side, and a fan made a nice two-handed catch. The fan gave the ball to a young boy who came to the game with him, and the boy immediately threw it back towards the field, with the ball landing somewhere in the lower deck.
Naturally, the adults with the young boy were pretty embarrassed.
There has been an epidemic this year of young kids throwing balls back. The adults with them need to be alert and explain to them they can keep the ball. Hopefully the kids will learn one of these days.
