New York Islanders center Derick Brassard helped out a teammate by preventing his mouthguard from falling on the ice during Monday night's game against Colorado.
It happened in the third period as Islanders captain Anders Lee scored at the 6:54 mark. As Lee was celebrating, his mouthpiece came out of his mouth. Fortunately, Brassard was coming over to hug Lee at that moment.
Not only was Brassard able to hold the mouthpiece in between himself and Lee with his chest, but he put Lee's mouthpiece back in for him. Now that's the ultimate teammate.
This ended up being the only goal of the game, giving the Islanders the 1-0 victory.
