Memphis Grizzlies rookie point guard Ja Morant threw down a tomahawk dunk off an alley-oop that brought down the house during Friday night's game against Cleveland.
It happened in the third quarter as the Grizzlies were on a fast break with a 68-62 lead. Jae Crowder led the field and made a nice behind the back dribble as he passed center court while Morant trailed him near the side of the court. Crowder set up Morant perfectly with an alley oop pass, and Morant caught it with his right hand and threw down the dunk all in one motion.
The powerful dunk brought the home crowd to their feet as he received a standing ovation.
Morant finished the game with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists as the Grizzlies beat the Cavs 113-109. For the season, Morant is averaging 17.9 PPG and 7 assists per game as he makes his case for NBA Rookie of the Year.
