Phil Mickelson took an unusual path to make par at the 13th hole during Sunday's final round of the PGA Tour Memorial Tournament.
After three bogeys and a double bogey in the first 12 holes put him at 8-over par for the tournament, Mickelson was more willing to take a chance and get creative. He certainly raised some eyebrows when he attempted to putt on his second shot from 78 yards out.
It came as no surprise to viewers that the putt did not go well, as it only made it halfway to the hole. Mickelson had a hilarious response to the shot as he said "I saw that playing out differently in my mind."
Mickelson rebounded in impressive fashion, however, with a flop shot that brought him 2 feet from the hole, allowing him to save par. No harm, no foul.
