Vancouver Canucks center Elias Pettersson knocked Minnesota Wild right winger Ryan Hartman out of Tuesday's Game 2 of their NHL Western Conference Qualifier with a shot to the back of the head.
It happened with just over three minutes left in the third period as Hartman and Pettersson were chasing the puck in the Wild zone along the boards. Hartman's stick went high and clipped Pettersson, who naturally didn't care for it too much. As Hartman turned his back to pass the puck to a teammate, Petterson whacked Hartman right in the back of the head.
Hartman was down on the ice for a while before being taken to the locker room. Meanwhile, Pettersson was not called for a penalty.
The Canucks won the game 4-3 to tie the series at one game apiece.
